A hike to the top of the Frauenalpe with a short rest in the Murauerhütte or the Alpengasthof Krische is easy to master, even with children in 1.5 hours.
The cycle paths in the Murau-Kreischberg region are characterized by a uniform and easy-to-understand signage system. As a holiday guest you can choose between easy, family-friendly trails and challenging bike rides of up to 250 km with large differences in height. Bring your own bicycle or take the many possibilities of the cycling infrastructure with you and simply rent a suitable bicycle or e-bike at the rental stations directly on site.
Probably the best way to cool your mind after a long hike or strenuous bike ride is definitely a dip in the refreshing waters of the many outdoor pools and swimming lakes in the Murau-Kreischberg region. The natural outdoor swimming pool Murau is a real rest and relaxation zone due to its spacious sunbathing area, which spoils its guests with a beach volleyball court and a diving tower. The Stadlerbad provides refreshment almost two kilometers from the Almdorf Stadl an der Mur. The shallow dike and the shallow depth of the lake are particularly suitable for a day of swimming with the whole family.
